Woman Carjacked Near LAPD Foothill Station

A woman was carjacked just a block away from the Los Angeles Police Department Foothill Station in Pacoima after the suspect shoved a shotgun in her face. The Foothill Station carjacking suspect was eventually arrested after leading police on a chase and barricading himself inside a home in Arleta.

The Foothill Station carjacking suspect has been identified as 22-year-old Oscar Orozco. According to police, on Friday evening at approximately 7:30 p.m., Orozco brandished a shotgun and forced the woman out of her car near the corner of Osborne Street and Telfair Avenue.

The woman ran to the nearby Foothill Station to report the carjacking. LAPD officers and a helicopter unit immediately gave chase.

The Foothill Station carjacking chase ended when Orozco stopped and forced his way into a home on Kewen Avenue. Orozco kicked the occupants out of the home and barricaded himself inside. A young woman inside the bathroom was able to call 911 and a SWAT team was dispatched to the home.

After a few hours, Orozco was arrested as he was trying to sneak out of a window.
