Woman Robbed on Fontana Freeway

A woman was robbed on the 210 Freeway in Fontana on Saturday. The Fontana freeway robbery occurred when the woman began experiencing car trouble and pulled her car over to the side of the freeway to get some help.

The Fontana freeway robbery occurred at approximately 5 p.m. on January 16. A 44-year-old Alta Loma woman was driving westbound on the 210 Freeway, just west of Cherry Avenue, when she suddenly had to pull over due to car trouble. A man, described as 35 to 40 year old, pulled up behind the woman to offer assistance to which the woman declined. As the woman was searching through her trunk, the man put an unknown weapon in the woman’s back and demanded her wallet. The woman complied and gave the man her wallet which contained money and credit cards.

The Fontana freeway robbery suspect then told the woman to get in her car and drive away. As the woman drove into Rancho Cucamonga, the man followed her until she drove into the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff’s Department. The Fontana freeway robbery suspect was last seen driving an older model silver Pontiac Grand Am northbound on Haven Avenue.
