The Orange County Register reports that an Anaheim man has been arrested on suspicion of having sex with a minor he was giving private soccer lessons to.
David Hernandez, 28, had been coaching soccer teams at Mission Viejo Soccer Club for about four years for kids ranging in age from 9 to 17-years-old. He was arrested Tuesday morning after the parents of a girl he was coaching privately reported that their daughter told them she was having a sexual relationship with Hernandez. The girl, who was involved in youth soccer in Mission Viejo but was not part of any team that Hernandez coached, is being described as between the ages of 14 and 17-years-old.
Orange County Sheriff’s Investigators are now looking for other potential victims given the number of girls Hernandez has had contact with through his coaching.
Hernandez was booked on suspicion of having unlawful sex with a minor and released after posting $20,000 bail.
