The Orange County Register reports that three teenage boys have been arrested in connection with 17 armed robberies that occurred over the last month at 7 Eleven stores throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
One of the 7 Eleven robbery teens, Raymond Moreno, 18, was arrested inside an abandoned home in Anaheim on Tuesday morning and is being held in Orange County Jail on $50,000 bail. The two other teens are 17 year old boys that were arrested in Chula Vista. Their names are being withheld at this time due to the fact that they are minors.
The three teens are believed to be responsible for the armed robberies of 17 7 Eleven stores that occurred from June 20 to July 16 in Anaheim, Brea, Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Carson, Lynwood, Fullerton, San Clemente, Placentia, La Palma and Santa Ana.
In all of the 7 Eleven robberies, the three teens would enter the store, approach the clerk, brandish a knife and demand money.
The last 7 Eleven robbery occurred on July 16 and was caught on the store’s surveillance video. Images from the video were disseminated in the media resulting in numerous phone calls that led to the arrest of the three teens.
