22 Women Arrested In Prostitution Probe in Vista!

The Los Angeles Times reports that 22 women were arrested and nine businesses were closed after an undercover investigation by the Sheriff’s Department into prostitution at day spas and acupuncturists in Vista located in northern part of San Diego County.

The investigation began after city officials noticed an “abnormally high number” of business licenses being sough for day spa and acupunture establishments. Many of the women arrested were Chinese nationals some of which are in the country illegally according to the Sheriff’s Department.

The charges against the women and businesses include prostitution, illegal touching and municipal code and health code violations.

The businesses were identified as Touch of Asian Day Spa, Seren Acu-Care, Melrose Spa, Vista Town Spa, Bright Acupuncture, JW Acupuncture, Li Jun Acupuncture I, Li Jun Acupuncture II and Vista Health Center.
