The Orange County Register reports that Mary Sharpski, the orange county woman who conspired with her lover and a butcher to kill her husband, ordered the hit in front of her 16-year-old daughter.
Sharpski, Mikey Shores (the Lover) and Antonio Ortega (the Butcher) plotted the machette attack that left her husband, Frank Sharpski, fighting for his life in an alley, for six months. At first, Sharpski and Shores maintained their innocence. However, as the investigation went forward, they began to break and eventually confessed to the plot to kill Frank Sharpski.
Motivated by a desire for a new start in Wyoming with her kids and Shores, they devised a plot to kill Frank and cash in on his Fedex life insurance policy (even though Frank doesn’t think he has one). The three defendants met at an apartment complex laundry room along with another man and, in the presence of Sharpski’s 16-year-old daughter, discussed how they would go about killing her husband. There are reports that indicate that Sharpski wanted it to be painless and agreed to pay Ortega $5,000 to commit the murder.
From the beginning, investigators were focused on Mary Sharpski as she showed little concern for the well being of her husband. When she was interviewed in the hospital, she repeatedly asked if she could have Frank’s ATM card and never bothered to ask about his condition. The day after the attack, Sharpski was trying to get her husband to sign a power of attorney.
This morning, Sharpski, Shores and Ortega all plead not guilty to charges of attempted murder, conspiracy and mayhem. They all remain in custody awaiting there preliminary hearing which has been scheduled for June 11.

HELP!!! There are more victims in this story. Whoever came to clean out the Sharpski family’s home just tossed their cats out on the street!!! Hisser is an indoor / outdoor cat and will probably acclimate ok. But Tiger is less than a year old and has been an indoor kitty his whole life. He’s been begging for a home for the past two weeks. I finally caved in and let him in the house over the weekend. He is the sweetest indoor kitty ever! He just trotted right in and made himself at home on the foot of the bed! He loves kids and sleeps with mine every night that they are here. But we already have two cats in a tiny apt and can’t keep a third. PLEASE HELP ME FIND HIM A HOME!!! Family? Friends of the family?
