Police are looking for the driver involved in a fatal Compton hit-and-run crash this morning. The Compton hit-and-run suspect hit a bicyclist with his van before driving off and leaving the bicyclist to die.
The deadly Compton hit-and-run crash happened this morning at 8:04 a.m. near Compton Boulevard and Dwight Avenue. Witnesses told police that they saw driver of the van hit the bicyclist then back up to check on the victim before speeding away from the scene.
The Compton hit-and-run suspect is described as a male, late 30s in age, driving a gray 1990s Ford passenger van. The Compton hit-and-run suspect was last seen traveling east on Compton Boulevard.
The bicyclist who was struck by the Compton hit-and-run driver was treated by Compton firefighters at the scene but died.
