Orange County Sheriff’s Harbormaster Charged with DUI!

The Orange County Register reports that Lt. Erin Guidice, the now former Orange County Sheriff’s Harbormaster, has been charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol stemming from her arrest last month after crashing a department car.

Guidice was arrested on April 14, after she rear-ended another car stopped at a red light on the Jamboree Road offramp while driving an unmarked Sheriff’s Department vehicle northbound on the 5 Freeway. Irvine police arrived at the scene of the accident and observed that Giudice was displaying what they believed were objective symptoms of intoxication such as slurred speech, bloodshot and watery eyes, and poor balance. She was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

Prosecutors allege that her blood alcohol level two hours after her arrest was .14%, almost twice the legal limit.

The other car sustained minor damage and the driver was uninjured.

Guidice, 48, who lost her job as harbormaster as a result of her arrest and was reassigned to the Orange County Jail, is scheduled to be arraigned on
