TMZ reports that there may be more trouble ahead for Kiefer, “Headbuttin’”, Sutherland.

Sutherland, who is on probation out of Los Angeles Superior Court for a DUI conviction, has caught the attention of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office with last weeks headbutt heard across the country.

While the City Attorney has not yet decided whether to file  a probation violation charge against Kiefer, they are considering it. A probation violation could mean potential jail time if found to be true.

This is truly the price you pay for being famous. Kiefer is most likely on misdemeanor “informal” or “unsupervised” probation which means that he doesn’t have to report to a probation officer. As such, it would be highly unlikely that the Los Angeles City Attorney would have ever found out about this New York incident but for the fact that he is famous. The probation violation wouldn’t be an issue.
