Celebrity Justice: Farrah Fawcett’s Son, Redmond O’Neal, Facing Potential Prison Sentence!

by Gabriel Dorman on April 10, 2009

The Los Angeles Times reports that Redmond O’Neal, the son of famous actors Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal, may be facing three years in state prison on a probation violation for violating the terms and conditions of his court ordered drug rehabilitation program.

O’Neal, who is currently in jail from his arrest last weekend for bringing drugs onto a Los Angeles County jail facility, is also on probation for a 2008 drug-related case. Today in court, an official from the residential treatment program O’Neal was attending told Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Nancy Newman that O’Neal tested positive for methamphetamine and another test showed the presence of heroin in his room at the facility. Based upon this information, Judge Newman revoked his bail eligibility and set a sentencing hearing for next Friday on the two felony counts in the case. If found in violation of probation, the court can sentence O’Neal up to the maximum penalty on those counts.

O’Neal also has an April 24 court date for his possession of a controlled substance in a jail facility case.
